On February 6th and 7th 2015, we held two identical SAP CodeJams on SAP HANA Cloud Platform at Innovation Park at University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. As you can see from the picture above, it was very very cold there with temperatures down to -18 deg C. :-)
The Innovation Park at the University of Notre Dame is a facility offering an innovative environment for young entrepreneurs and start-ups emerging from
the University. This is a high energy place which breeds innovation.
The participants in the SAP CodeJam included Notre Dame Pupils, faculty professors, aspiring entrepreneurs and incubating startups. This was a great
opportunity to introduce not only the innovative SAP HANA Cloud Platform to them but also to give them a perspective of what SAP is, the wide industries
that SAP enterprise business solutions serves and the business opportunities its offers to startups and partners in its ecosystem. Both the events drew good interests and were well attended.
In this event the participants were given a good perspective of what SAP HANA Cloud Platform is and how they could use it to build innovative applications in the cloud. Furthermore the partner ecosystem services that SAP offers to enable partners to market their applications were also highlighted.
To begin with, the participants could register for a free SAP HANA Cloud Platform Trial account. Through Hands-on sessions the participants could get a feel of the tools & technologies in SAP HANA Cloud Platform. As part of the hands-on session the participants were able to build sample applications on JAVA EE, SAPUI5 and SAP HANA on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform.
