How to Enable Content Services for Your HCP Trial Account

A Quick Intro

 

Content Services (via SAP Mobile Documents) are now available in your HCP Trial account.

 

This blog describes the steps to activate them step-by-step.

This is how you can activate it:

 

 

Get Your HCP Trial Account

 

 

If you haven't done so already, create your own free Developer instance of HCP:

 

Go to http://hcp.sap.com --> Developers

 

Just follow the simple steps mentioned there to create your account:

Enable SAP Mobile Documents


Once you have access to your new account, enter the Cloud Cockpit:


https://account.hanatrial.ondemand.com --> Logon

Go to Services --> Mobile Documents

Click Enable

The End User UI

 

Once the service is enabled, you can launch the end user Web UI of SAP Mobile Documents:

In the Mobile Documents area of the cockpit, click on Go to Service Link in the Cloud Cockpit.

You can now create folders or upload files using drag & drop.

Congratulations, you have set up the initial part of HCP Content Services (SAP Mobile Documents) in your HCP Trial account!

 

Enable Sharing

 

To use the ready-to-use file sharing capabilities of SAP Mobile Documents, you need to enable sharing in the Admin UI:

 

In the HANA Cloud Cockpit - Services -  Mobile Documents area

Go to Service Configuration --> Mobile Documents

In the SAP Mobile Documents Admin UI, go to SETTINGS --> Shared Documents

 

Check Allow Sharing

Set the other parameters for sharing according to your preference.

 

Click Save

 

When you now log back on to the end user Web UI of SAP Mobile Documents, you will see that the sharing tab appeared.
