SAP Web Analytics helps you to understand how users use your web applications by tracking page loads, click events, or any custom events you defined. Running on SAP HANA Cloud Platform, the system allows fast analysis of the tracked data right from within your browser without the need of installing any additional software.
SAP Web Analytics comes packaged with a set of predefined reports, giving you insights into e.g. amount of new and recurring visitors, the technology they use (e.g. device, browser version, screen resolution), their geographic locations, preferred language, popular content, time spent on pages, click through pathes, heatmaps of common click positions, etc.
You are able to extend the amount of tracked data by defining your own custom events, easily create new reports based on all the tracked data using built-in data explorer tool, and even access the data from within your own applications via an API.
Although SAP Web Analytics manages a huge amount of raw data for you, it does not work with aggregates – at any time you are able to access and analyze each and every click that was ever tracked in your web application. And when it comes to data privacy – of course we prepared everything like proper notification and opt-out mechanisms for you to be able to comply with your local data privacy laws.
After a successful alpha phase, in which we provided a very limited early prototype of SAP Web Analytics, we are now happy to announce that we started a closed beta phase for a completely redesigned and improved SAP Web Analytics.
